I met Dan Boyer in the fall of 1975.     He was a contestant in the first Bass Caster’s Association Grand National year-end bass tournament on Lake of the Ozarks, while I was covering the event for the old St. Louis Globe-Democrat newspaper.

I was impressed at that time by his pleasant attitude and ready smile. He had to be a good fisherman to have been included in that group of anglers. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of sharing a boat with him several times.

I have used Dan Boyer as a guide for my two upcoming tournaments on Table Rock Lake for the months of March and April.
I had a great time and enjoyed Dan's expertise and fellowship.
I have always struggled on Table Rock Lake ,  myself being a stained water fisherman in my area.   It was a learning experience I will always remember !
